So this is big news. Erstwhile rivals Netflix and Comcast have put away the swords, at least for now.

Though the exact terms haven’t been disclosed, the two entertainment giants have announced a partnership that will allow Netflix subscribers to stream the service through their Comcast set-top box.
From a joint statement put out by Netflix and Comcast:
“We have much work to do before the service will be available to consumers later this year . . . We’ll provide more details at that time.”
The deal has major potential upside for both companies, whose rivalry has been shaping up over the last few years as Netflix and other streamers continued to encourage consumers to cut their cable cord.
Paul Verna, an analyst at eMarketer, thinks that this could be a win-win situation for consumers:
“Customers simply don’t want to have to jump through hoops to access streaming services, and they shouldn’t . . . It should be as simple as clicking one button or activating one app.

So I think this is definitely a plus for both Comcast and Netflix customers.”
What do you think, Insiders? Is this a huge win for Netflix, Comcast, their customers, or all of the above?
