Haven’t used a free code yet, except for the promo code that I received from RedBox when I subscribed. Gotta ask: is it legal to use a code that I didn’t directly receive from Redbox?

Most the time the codes work for me, once or twice it didn’t. So I just rented a DVD. But I can’t even imagine crying about it when they didn’t work. Heck, I’ve had bigger problems at times. . .had two DVD’s due back, WallyWorld RedBox kept spitting them back out. . .wouldn’t accept either of them. I just went to another RedBox. Grow up chillins, nobody owes you nuttin.

I am not sure why the code did not work for you, but it has nothing to with the code itself. All I do is post the code that Redbox sends in the text message on Monday’s.

So, while signing up for the text message (as Amanda mentioned) is not a bad idea, it is not somehow magically going to give you a different code then you see here each week.

if you want to sign up for “codes that work” you can do that at Redbox.com to receive a text message to your phone, i’m assuming that might help those who are having trouble with the codes posted. This sight isn’t going to make Universal cringe at the redbox, redbox does the codes for free on Mondays (and previously Wednesday) on their own… it’s a marketing tool, because as stated before, you can’t always rent on a monday, why not take advantage of the $1.00/night + tax another day of the week… it just gets people out, and to look at the movies, and see what’s there. It’s not like you didn’t pay for transportation to and from the redbox, do you think that would equate to more than a dollar?

Just be thankful for all you have, even if your “code” posted doesn’t work, there are other ways to get a free movie on a Monday night.

The greed of some of these comments is insane.
These are codes that you do not have to earn, they are simply there for you with the sole exception that you use them on Monday.

Why don’t more companies do this? I want $1 of gas every Monday, Free Cheeseburger Monday, Free Beer Monday.

Let’s not kick a Gift Horse in the mouth.
