  2. Tammy Stewart Says:

I have a different cc i need to use i lost the old one do i need to make a new acccount?

    • ang Says:

nope, no need. You can use as many credit/debit cards as you want. I personally use three different cards. You can use promo codes once, per card…so with three cards, three movies per code…

  3. cindy Says:

the wednesday codes were only for may

  4. Bill Cooney Says:

I see movies on the promo screen next to the machine but, sometimes, they’re not in the box. What’s up with that? I was looking to rent “Definirely, Maybe” and it’s not available.

    Florida/Walmart

    • Ryan Says:

It’s because someone rented it. There are only so many copies of each movie in the machine, if you take it out, it is no longer available. Either wait for it to come back, or try another store. Sometimes when people return it to any redbox, it doesn’t make it back to the store it came from. So some movies are always out. We need enough promo codes to empty machines farther away and fill our local ones heh.

    • The Turnip Says:

Bill, what Ryan said is dead-on.

You obviously have internet access - make that work for you! Go to the Redbox website and use the FIND A REDBOX link to see exactly what is in each kiosk in your area. I NEVER leave the house before I find a couple close locations where I can rent the movie I want. (It’s a good idea to pick two just in case someone beats you to one location.)

It’s an incredible convenience to just walk up and rent your movie instead of having to do your research while standing out in the weather. (And the people waiting behind you will thank you, too!)

      Best of luck.

I tried last weeks to use my codes and both times I got a message saying codes were invalid… what’s up with that?

After watching a disappoiting 10,000 B.C. and The Air I Breath, Fools’ Gold was pretty decent.

  8. gina Says:

    My redbox said” code invalid”.

  9. tkight Says:

I’m new. How does it work with promo codes? Am I correct that only one promo code per card? I meaning that if I use “redbox,” I can no longer use any other promo on that card?

  10. klministries Says:

Thanks for the codes. It certainly helps since I am watching a lot of movies.

The best movie I’ve seen is Untraceable! Wow! What an ending. I was jumping up and screaming alone in my house!

  11. Ginger Says:

Mondays code for June 30 was invalid. I wasn’t the only one at the redbox trying to use the same code. This is second time I have gotten invalid codes.

    • Michael Says:

@Ginger: The code was certainly not invalid, as hundreds of people from this site used it successfully, including myself.

While there are certainly times when codes in general don’t work at a particular kiosk due to communication problems, it is not because the code is invalid.

      • Ginger Says:

Well Michael I was not the only person trying to use the code. I went to two different location as did others I know and we had no luck at all. I double checked my typing in of the code so I know I didn’t make any mistakes. BTW we all didn’t go to the same locations. Thanks anyway.

        • Michael Says:

@Ginger: I don’t doubt what you are saying at all, I hope I didn’t come off that way.

One thing you can do to see if the Redbox in your area is communicating properly with the “mothership” is to use the kiosk locator on the Redbox website…

If you find your kiosk and it says “Currently No Online Rental” then you know it is not communicating properly and codes will not work.

          Hope this helps.

        • Ginger Says:

I checked before I went to get the movies and they were all online, maybe it’s my area that’s not accepting the codes.

    • Cin Says:

I agree where I am from sometimes the Monday and Wednesday codes don’t work. But sometimes they do!! And when they do GREAT!! Check out in your STATE other codes, some of them do work.
      Good luck

    • The Turnip Says:

For me the official “Free Day” codes have worked 100% of the time. Your ‘Box has probably lost communication and is out of synch with the rest of the locations. I have one in my neighborhood that is usually off-line while the one across the street is always on-line.

Also, as you type in the code, make sure double letters don’t sneak in (that happens most of the time for me) and be careful so you don’t mistake 1 for I or V for U.

    • Jules Says:

I have only one time not gotten the free dvd from red box on the first try. And always with the Mon. code. The other time I bring 2-3 codes with me. One time I typed in the code it didn’t work so I typed it in a second time and it did. I don’t know if I typed in the wrong code by accident the first time or not. So bring more than one code with you. One will work.

  12. Echoside1313 Says:

So, is it…one code per credit/atm card??
