We have been slaving over a new edition of our popular “Inside Redbox Pro” iPhone app for awhile now, and in a move that can only be attributed to sleep-deprivation (and just being a little crazy in the first place), we have decided to release it for FREE.
Now, we are not sure how long it will be available for for this low price (is free really a price?), but we would advise that you act quickly if you want to get your copy. As soon as we find the right medication to treat our problem, the price will be going back up! :)
Also, the more people that download it, the longer we are likely to keep it available for free. (You see, we really like recognition, so we would LOVE to see this app get to the Top 25 in the app store.) Why just iphone? Why not also an app for android?
There is an app for Android called “Redboxer”. We are not affiliated with them, but it is a pretty good app.
We just don’t have the time/resources to develop an app for another platform right now. It may happen in the future, though.
I love the fact that I have basically 2 days to view the DVD for one dollar,,,,,,,,,what a deal !

Why would you not be using iOS 4?
We considered making a compatible version for v3, but it would make it a lot harder to support, and most iPhone users are using iOS4 now.

I will not upgrade to iOS 4 because several other friends have upgraded their iphone 3G to iOS 4 and regretted it. The speed for iOS 4 is abyssmal for the 3G iphone. Its fine for 3GS and 4, but not acceptable for the iphone 3G. I don’t know if Apple is going to address this or just leave us antiquated Iphone 3G users twisting in the wind. I am sure that they simply expect everyone to continue to shell out more money for the latest and greatest phone, but when you have a decent phone that does all of what you want, why buy a new one?

I too am runinng iOS3 due to the issues with iOS4. Would love to see your app work for iOS3.
I heard that apple is working on a fix to address poor performance on iphone 3G. Steve jobs himself sent an email to an individual complainging about this issue indicating that a fix is coming soon.

ios4 sucks, at least on ipod touch. I have an 8gb with it, and my wifi connections drop constantly, and my battery life is literally a fraction of it’s original. I also have a 32gb touch running version 3, and it’s totally normal. I absolutely refuse to upgrade until they fix the issues the apple is ignoring and EVERYONE is having.
Yep, can’t use it on most iPhone 3G’s.
