Yea, it definitely can be limited, although they do pretty good to include all new releases.

I am not sure about one thing in your comment, though…

It seems to me if they are “maximizing rentals”, they are pleasing their customers. Otherwise, their rental count would be low because what people want would not be there.

I’m not big on horror, action adventure or cgi, so sometimes the choices are too limited for me.
Unfortunately, their selections are probably calculated to maximize rentals rather than please their customers.

I am not familiar with “Shop n Save”, but I know that the deal with Albertsons is similar. Albertsons is a grocery store with over 400 locations, and many of them have movie rental departments as well, with $1 rentals.

Redbox plans to be in all Albertons locations in the first quarter of 2007, so I assume it will replace their movie rental section.

I am guessing that there is not a lot of money made by Albertsons in their rental business, and Redbox eliminates the need to staff it. So, it is likely similar with Shop n Save.

As far as I am concerned, the more Redbox’, the better!

I live in the Greate Saint Louis, MO. area and I do not use the Zip Code Feature. I would like to point out that The “Shop ‘N’ Save” grocery stores, a division of the “Super Valu” corporation, have installed redbox. This grocery store had their own video rental department and believe it or not, they rented DVDs for 99 cents. I am not too sure as to why they made the change, but the only reason I can come up with is money. Anyway, Michael, maybe you can shed some light on the “Shop “n” Save” situation.

Thanks for free codes, I love free movie rentals and movie rentals for a buck aren’t bad either. I love your sevices that you apply so generously. Wish I could help in some way. I love the FREE rentals. Much better than your competitor “New Release” They charge my card twice everytime. Only one charge goes through but the other charge is held up in the authorization process for 2-3 days which means that money is unavailable to me.

But i was wondering if you can get more than 1 free rental at a time. Can i use 2 codes in one visit? I haven’t tried it yet but i was wondering.

I never use the codes by zip codes. My area is not listed. I find the first 6 or so codes usually work in my area anyway.
