imagesNetflix has raised prices twice in the last year, but analysts don’t seem too worried about the company’s short and long-term prospects. Here’s what a few of them have to say in advance of Netflix’s imminent third quarter financials announcement in a few days:

Analysts from Stifel Financial Corp wrote the following in a note:

“Netflix is increasingly becoming an always-on service. . . .  [Their latest price increase] is being done from a position of strength. Combined with growing global momentum in the Netflix brand and international growth.

We believe Netflix will be able to post strong subscriber growth as the company heads into its seasonally strong (fourth quarter).”

BMO Capital Markets analyst Daniel Salmon is similarly bullish:

“Netflix is set to benefit from growth in the overall internet TV industry, particularly as broadband penetration increases globally, much the same way that cable networks benefited from the growth of cable systems in the (Eighties and Nineties) . . . All in all, we view Netflix as a highly dynamic company and an innovation leader in our coverage universe.”

How well do you think Netflix is going to perform when it announces its financials? Could we see even bigger things from Netflix in the next quarter?

I will keep my NetFlix… Hulu & Warner Archives.
All three of them are the way to go now.
But. it will not be long until the Cable& Phone Co’s start putting the Caps on your net use.. Then Ops. The online deals will not look so good..
Keep in mind.. if you watch just one Movie a day on NetFlix.. You will be over your Caps limit. Of 300 GB’s Now keep in mind. If you have a family of 4,5..
Ops! you are going to have one big ass Net Bill.
This will not go over to good…
    just a thought..

I don’t like the way Netflix keep raising there rates with out even a notice to their subscribers. We have to pay for internet on top of Netflix and if you don’t go to their wedsite to trun down the speed you can find yourself paying for going over your data. Also they just put on old movies and then take them off then put them back on and say they are new. As for tv shows they are really slow about putting on more seasons if they do at all. I watch anime and they are getting lazy about getting the usa voice-over version. And it is a pain to watch, most of all if it a commedy there they talk fast. I had the DVD plan but it was a joke we didn’t get one to often all the ones I wanted was All WAYS OUT. So I droped it. Waste of my money. I think NetFlix will over price themselves to high for me if they don’t change the way the do business. Just how I feel and watch NetFlix.

They sent out an email to all subscribers about the newest increase last week. If you are a current subscriber its not going up for a year.

anime is a niche market you’re lucky they have as much as you have been able to get from them

data caps is on your end, my cable provider and most others do not have one.

Yes you are so right they did send out a E mail about them..
I’m locked in until June 2016…. And my three out in the mail is set also…
The data caps will hit everyone in the next few years.. Right now most don’t have it… But it’s on the way… Sad to say it…..
And it’s all about GREED… Like Charter that wants to buy Time Warner…
They said. No Data caps… Then they did a back peddle.. And said. No Data Caps for three years… Bet that will change fast if the get Tome Warner…
