Get Redbox Codes On Demand via Text Message

I am testing a new feature that will allow you to get a list of the latest codes that have been reported working. See how it works below…

To get a list of the latest codes via SMS text message, do the following:

  • Text the words “insideredbox codes” to DOTCOM (368266)

There is no fee for this from InsideRedbox, of course, but standard text messaging rates do apply.

Also note that you can get the latest news by texting “insideredbox news” to the same number.

    all I can recieve is text not email’s so this feature is not working for me on my phone. Do you just have a text feature with the free code for Mondays?

      You need to send it as a text message. Type in the code like you are dialing a number, then send it as a SMSText and you’ll get back the codes.

        I received two text messages stating…
        #1:INSIDEREDBOX.COM Ooops! Insideredbox.com is not responding, did you type the domain name correctly? #2: customize this domain.

        I sent “Insiderebedbox codes” as an SMS text message like instructed…what do I do now?

      How i finally got it to work was
      I sent a text to dotcom
      The message i typed said
      “Insideredbox codes Monday promo”
      I immediatly received a response with a list of updated codes.

    Tried, but immediately received a response “Cricket is not participating in this event at this time”, oh, well, it was worth a try. I guess this explains why I have also never received the Monday codes directly from Redbox.

      Get a ink pen (old technology but probably still available at specialty stores), go to this site, write down codes on paper (also old technology), go to a Redbox, try codes, come back to this site and post your results (thanks).

      Pen and paper won’t give you a “not participating in this event at this time” error.

      Technology FAIL.

      No, it appears Cricket is unable to receive the codes using this service. I am working on another way to make this possible.

        I had Cricket for several years in Colorado & Kentucky and couldnt recve codes. Finally I changed to T-mobile and still have yet, after almost 2 months of trying recvd any free codes via text. I have e-mailed and signed up thru redbox for 2 months to long and we spend ALOT of money thru there. Any suggestions on why my husband nor I have recvd a response from them. We have seperate phones and seperate accts so they are not linked in anyway to cause an issue.

      Yes, they are the same codes listed on the Redbox Codes page. Just a convenient way to access them when you are on the go.

      Codes are texted “on-demand”, so only when you ask for them.

      Just send “insideredbox codes” to DOTCOM (368266) anytime you want the latest list of codes.
