I think the DVD Games and other games such as Xbox, N64 (or whatever they are called!). I know from a marketing stand point, they would definately make CASH, because WHO wants to return a game after one night? And I dont even play the silly things. I have a marketing background, and can totally see this being a success. HOWEVER!!!! I would NOT like to wait in even LONGER lines to get my movies, waiting for kids to pick out the best game.

I think Red Box needs to put in more than 1 Red Box Vending Machine in each location. Any idea if they will be doing this? There have been times I've had to wait for 25 minutes in Roy, Layton and Clearfield (Utah). But, when we have the codes, it's worth the wait!! Thanks to INSIDEREDBOX.COM I have 'em!! Thanks!

I don't think anyone would rent a video game for just one night, and they are more expensive than DVDs for Redbox to buy. It would be a great experiment in a single market though.

I was caught by surprise with all of the small time movies this week. I hadn't visited redbox in about 3 weeks over the holidays so I was a little reluctant to go to the box only to find the same old boring DVD's.

Well, much to my surprise I found a full listing of the movies like "Tortilla's again, etc". The problem was that I was so unfamiliarized with the movies that I chose not to rent because I didn't want to get burned on some small time movie that sucked.

It may be annoying but what about a small screen off to the side or on the menu board showing previews of these movies. I see the potential problems with this idea but there's got to be a better way to learn of these unadvertised movie's. Maybe post some full fledged reviews somewhere on the box????

Adding games is a great idea. But, I think a separate box would be the best idea to keep the most movies available at all times and enough game choices available.

I like the idea of having Scene It at Red box, it's a great party game and this way I could play the game without paying the high price for a game I can only play a few times before I know the whole thing. DVD games, yes, others no. DVD games are for partying, other games are - as others have commented - more for individuals, that want to play for days.

I would love to games to rent, I hate buying them and finding that I dont like, and that the advertisments, Gaming news, and so forth was nothing but Hype, and I waisted 49 bucks. And Blockbuster and Hollywood Video have jacked there prices you spend 25% of the cost of price of a game to rent to check it out first before you buy. So the total cost turns out to be about 69 for a game. :(

I think that it would be wise to have video games. I know that I or my husband would rent them. The DVD games I am no so sure about. I would maybe try it once or twice.
