The BEST buy (best deal) I have ever gotten on a gift for myself would be a job. I’ve been laid off for 2 years and I was just granted the gift of a part-time postition w/ the company I’ve been freelancing for, with the promise of becoming full-time in the Spring. That is the best gift I could give myself and my boyfriend, period. I am so thankful this year for everything, tangible or not.

The best deal that Kohls was doing is giving out $10 coupons with no min. purchase. So I got 2 bath towels that were already on sale half off for $10. Another time I just got a pack of underwear on sale free.

The best deal I ever got was on my husband’s Christmas gift for last year. He has been trying to adopt my two children since their father in not in their lives and all my husband was to be a dad. I am unable to have anymore children so he has been trying to adopt my children. Last year a week before Christmas I got the finalized adoption papers in the mail saying he was approved to adopt the children and their last names would be changed to his last name. I then took the papers and put them under the tree for a Christmas gift. My husband did not know that I sent in the final payment for the papers to be processed. He was so excited and was the happiest father ever. I was so happy that when I went to the store to get him a gift for Christmas, the salesclerk was so touched by the situation that she gave me a special deal on a ring for him that had the children’s birthstones on it that said “we love you daddy” This was most amazing day and best Christmas ever. It is the best buy I ever got while making my husband’s dreams come true all together.

The best deal I got was at a Wal-mart on black Friday ( this year 2010) I was out shopping and came across a shirt (Justen Beavers) I knew my grand daughter would love. ( her birthday is Dec. 15) I could not believe my eyes it said .05 so being I was not sure i was seeing right I took it to the front and the sales lady rang it up. It rang up for a lot more. Being it was marked wrong Wal-mart still horned it and let me get it for the 5 cent on the price tag man was i happy. I will always shop Wal-mart because they honer there word.

I am having trouble coming up with the absolute best deal I have ever gotten in my shopping lifetime so I think I will just mention the best deal I have gotten so far with my Christmas shopping this year. We scored one of those awesome driving Jeeps that Walmart had on sale for $88 on black friday. We got there 3 hours before the sale started so we totally deserved it. That was a rough night!

The absolute “best deal” I ever got was when I was an electrician…..My wife asked me to go to the home of a personal friend of hers to do some electrical work…..as a favor between her and her friend….. It was in a very “Ritzy” neighborhood..(.Everyone who lived there made “six figure salaries “) My wife was talking to her friend and noticed a large lawn tractor in her garage which appeared to be new,…but was covered with a layer of dust… She jokingly asked her friend “How much would you give me to wash your tractor ? ” Her friend replied that ” She didn’t like the tractor and was ” going to haul it to the dump ……” My wife was flabbergasted and said ” My husband would LOVE that tractor !!! ” Her friend replied, ” Take it home with you,…..I’d like to get it out of my garage….” Not only did I get a $ 3,000.oo Craftsman lawn tractor,….but a $ 800.oo mower deck with bagger… and a $ 159.00 trailer which was still in the box….( some assembly required ) Needless to say….I put that woman on my “Pro Bono ” list….any electrical work she needs is free of charge…

My best buy was a gift for myself. My wife and I stood in line for over 9 hours at Target to buy a 40″ flatscreen TV for $300. I gotta say, we earned that TV! It took us two days to thaw out.

i would have to say that my best deal was never in a store. I was raised only by my mom and decided to find my real dad, thru the wonders of the internet, i found him, (was living across the country) he sold his house, and moved to montana where i live, and to top it off, he is back together with my mom! now i have a great little sister that lives in tennessee that i talk to all the time, and have even managed to meet the other part of my family that lives in texas! now that is a christmas blessing!

The best buy I have gotten for several years is to use my Discover card points to purchase gift cards for my nieces and nephews at the holidays. This makes their gifts essentially free because I pay off my Discover balance each month and it takes no time to order them online and no gas to go pick them up.

The best deal I ever got was in 1993 when I adopted my cat from an organization called Cat Crossing in Santa Monica, California. I had to sign a contract saying that I would never have him declawed and I paid for the shots and neutering that had already been done. Well, 17 years and countless pieces of scratched furniture later, my precious little kitty is still going strong! For anyone reading this and thinking about getting a pet this holiday season, please consider adopting from your local animal shelter. Your pet will love you unconditionally and that’s the best feeling in the world!!

The best deal I ever got was: my husband…and I truely mean that. I was not looking for anyone then. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. He asked me to dinner…one month later I started my lfe with him. I believe he is my true soul mate. We have been together for over 15 years. And the journey keeps getting better. I love you honey..forever and a day!!!! Sometimes a good deal just does not involve money..it’s just the way you look at life.

The best deal I ever got was a few years ago. It was both unexpected and free. My friend and I were bored one weekend and decided to go test drive some new cars. We went down to our local Honda dealer and they handed us both $20 cash when we walked in for being one of the first 50 people there that day! Then they gave us free pizza! We thought wow this Keeps getting better! Then we entered a raffle and didn’t expected anything to come of it but we ended up winning a free iPod! Then we text drove a new car and got a free DVD about it. What a GREAT day!

The best deal i ever made for a gift was a the new car I bought for my wife. I had shopped around for it for over three weeks and then finally found it. A brand new Ford Escape for $12,000. It was a leader ad item so when I got to the dealer I test drove it for two hours until my bank approval came thru. What a day……
I also came across a great deal for myself recently, a 46″ sony, new, in the box, at SEARS, for $399. That was a gift for me.
And I give blood every 2 months, a gift for everyone …..
    Merry Christmas Everyone!

Best Deal I got was the birth of my daughter and son who are now 41 & 39.
Yes, thru the years they have been dollar-wise costly…but they also have given me more than money can buy in love and respect….something $$$ can’t buy.

The best thing I remember is when my husband and I went to Best Buy to look at special deals. We always wanted a digital camera and noticed one in the clearance area ( this was back in the 90s. )
They had a Fujifilm digital camera that was probably 1.2 megapixels at that time. The sales person went down on the price for us and in talking with him for quite some time, he even provided us with a memory card. This was such a big thing for us, since we always wanted one and this was a very old model thatf was no longer being sold.

But for us, it was a dream come true. Thanks to Best Buy

Last year I was in the checkout line behind a woman who looked very poor. I don’t want to seem judgmental, but she was dirty and her clothes had holes in them. I said “good morning” to her and she meekly returned the greeting. She had only one item, a small pink coat. I asked about it and she quietly told me that it was for her grand daughter that was living with foster parents that did not treat her very well. Her daughter had died in a car accident and she was in no position to take care of a three year old child, mainly because of her finances.

Her story powerfully struck a cord with me and I felt compelled to pay for the coat and buy her breakfast afterwords as well. She declined, but I insisted. I told her that I was not rich by any means and I would just have to wait to get one of my items next week, after I got my next paycheck. She reluctantly agreed.

I paid for the coat with the gifts I got for my family and as the clerk told me the total, about $450, a man grabbed my shoulder and said he had heard everything that was said and that he wanted to pay for all of it. I was obviously surprised by this and told him that he didn’t need to do that, he had his own family to take care of.

He said frankly “I’m very well off and what you were doing for this lady is one of the kindest things I’ve ever seen. I won’t take no for and answer, and put that remote controlled car that you set aside back up there.”

He paid for everything, a little over $600 and as we all ate something together, he also insisted to take the woman back to get a few more things for her and her granddaughter, which he did as I left.

That has to be the best “deal” I’ve ever gotten on a purchase. Honestly though, the saved money isn’t what I remember most about it.
