Inside Redbox is the #1 "Unofficial" Redbox Online Community for Redbox Codes, News and more. Inside Redbox is not affiliated with Redbox Automated Retail, LLC.

FreebieFriday_CommunityEvery week, we offer our readers an opportunity to win free prizes. This week, we’re giving away five-packs of free Redbox rentals to three lucky winners!

A lot of major theater chains are really unhappy with Netflix this weekend. The streamer is debuting Beasts of No Nation, an Idris Elba movie it produced, simultaneously online and in theaters. AMC, Regal, Carmike, and Cinemark are among the major chains who are refusing to show the film because its online release is cutting into their typical 90-day, theater-only window.

What’s your take on theater versus home viewing?

Enter this week’s contest by answering the following question in the comments section, and then clicking on the green button below:

If you could only choose one way to experience a movie, would it be in a theater or in the comfort of your own home?

Again, answer the question above in the comments section, and then enter the giveaway by clicking here:

You can also earn extra entries by sharing this giveaway via Facebook and Twitter! The giveaway ends on Sunday night, and in next Friday’s contest post we will announce the three randomly chosen winners, each of whom will receive five free Redbox rentals! Congratulations to our winners from last week, Ggalleg, FF1119, and JS22.

Good luck, Insiders!

My husband & I prefer to enjoy a movie in the comfort of our home. You can pause when you want & rewind if you want.

Home…I wish I had a red box in Germanton NC. Like in front of the nice new Dollar General they just built and opened. I have to drive about 25 miles out of the way to pick up and return red box movies. makes me a lot less interested in renting them much anymore.

Home viewing hands down, you can stop when you want, replay if you missed something,no theater noise from others.

I love both! There’s nothing like seeing a movie on the “big screen”. I like home viewing because I can’t afford to go the theater all the time. I don’t mind being patient and waiting for a movie to come out on DVD. It’s tradition and I’m ok with that.

This is a difficult question. I would say home; however, the viewing experience is more rewarding on the big screen.

i WOULD PREFER TO WATCH A MOVIE AT HOME. IT IS A PLEASURE TO WATCH A MOVIE AT HOME INSTEAD OF AT THE THEATER WITH YOUR FAMILY. ALSO THE PRICE FOR EACH PERSON IS TWO EXPENSIVE. NOT TO MENTION WHAT YOU PAY FOR DRINKS AND SNACKS.

I prefer watching movies in the comfort and coziness of my home and no distractions by other theatergoers!

I watch almost all my movies at home. Lat time I went to theater was to watch Toy Story 3. I will rent movies I consider woth watching, and if I really like them and they have re-watch power I will buy the DVD/Blu Ray.

I prefer home. It’s more comfortable, cheaper, you can talk as much as you want, eat as much as you want, pause the movie, etc. Theaters are nice for a treat and they can be good for immersing yourself in a movie, but ultimately… I prefer my home.

Depends-home is easier to view movie on your own time in comfort however if it’s a big action movie, a huge screen with surround sound at the theater is pretty cool!

I only have a 65″ screen at home. Haven’t been inside a theater in ten years or more. The expense will kill you.

Although I enjoy the theater experience, I think it is extremely over priced. I would much rather watch in the privacy of my home as it gives me the ability to pause to get snacks or go to the RR or whatever.

In the comfort of my own home with my 3 beautiful girls. Nothing is better than a single mother spending quality time with your beautiful children in a quiet and private environment. Memories can last a lifetime but your children staying young will not.
