When I was a child my dad would constantly watch the movie From Dusk till Dawn, I would lay on the couch and try to go to sleep, even though my back was turned from TV. I was able to hear everything that was going on and for some reason that made me scared out of my mind that I would have to get up and leave the room.

Picture Mommy Dead….and the chilling song (the worms crawl in). Quite frightening for a young kid.

No, I have never walked out of a movie because it was too scary. I have screamed however, while my guy laughed. He had seen the movie earlier while being out of state and figured I would scream, haha. I did not disappoint him!

I haven’t ever had to turn off anything, but I have sometimes had to turn away – anything eye related can be awfully scary and gruesome for me to watch. For example in Saw 2 where the guy wakes up with a venus fly death mask on and learns the key to unlock it has been surgically implanted behind his eye. He will have to gouge out his own eye in order to have a chance to live. Oh man that was awful!
My husband left the theater when we were watching Resident Evil (the 1st one), years ago because it was too much for him! Funny though now he loves the Resident Evil series.

I’ve never walked out on a scary movie. I figured if I paid theater prices, I am staying until the end.

The first Hellraiser movie. I sat out in the theater hallway until my friend finished watching it. I tried to go back in once but had to leave again. Way too scary for me.

Any horror movie with a critter in it guarantees I have to walk away when the critter gets hurt. I can watch people being maimed & killed right, left & sideways but seeing or hearing a critter get hurt gives me nightfreakinmares.
