I guess manufacturers have figured out how to make kiosks zap-proof in rainy weather (look at all the cola machines that are completely exposed.) I visited Redbox outdoors all last winter in OK. They seemed to work fine for the most part, but I did walk up a couple times and encountered a dead touchscreen. The kiosk faced north, but and the sunscreen seemed to help keep the light rain off the touchscreen. Yesterday I found another site (facing east)that also has a screen. Not all locations here (Oklahoma City) have them, so I suppose they are being installed in phases.
