They each offer such great services (Netflix with their enormous library and Redbox with their awesome convenience and almost instantaneous gratification quotient).</p> <p>So, here's what I think would be a great idea: The ability to return the Netflix envelope/dvd to a redbox and get a "free" Redbox DVD in exchange. Netflix would then automatically send out the next DVD in your queue as you've "returned" your movie. This way, you get instant gratification of the redbox DVD while you're waiting for the next DVD in your Netflix queue (which is sped up by possibly as much as a day - depending on when you return). Maybe we could also see a subscription pricing model from redbox that took advantage of this feature. DVDNOW is a good example, but I wouldn't recommend it. DVDNOWs are too expensive(around $20,000, correct me if I'm wrong)and only hold 250~350 DVDs. And you can't self-brand with DVDNOWs. You can buy better cheaper kiosk if you know where to look.
