UBM on "New Machine Specific Codes going out"

Today in my email, I was given a Machine (Location) specific
code, good for use at that machine only, no sharing.

For the record, it's tied to a Walgreens location within
five miles of my house that gets a lot of traffic,
that I use for returns but not rentals ( as it often
doesn't have much stocked).

Could Redbox be trying to drive traffic to specific
locations to improve numbers on certain kiosk boxes?

Watch your email!!

We knew it was all coming.
I 've been preaching it in the posts on the main site.
Now it's been confirmed. Check you email from Redbox this morning, I did.

quote="redbox"

As a loyal redbox customer, we want to make sure you know about an upcoming change to our Monthly Movie Monday program. Beginning Monday, December 7, the Monthly Movie Monday promo code will be distributed exclusively via text message to customers signed up to the redbox SMS Network.

All codes will be unique and can only be redeemed once. If you get your code from a friend, online or in an email, the code may NOT work. The only way to guarantee your code is valid is to join the SMS Network at redbox.com.

If you're not yet signed up for Monthly Movie Monday, it's not too late to join. Visit redbox.com and get on this list today.

Thank you,
redbox
`quote'

there you have it. Unique codes that cannot be shared, sent to each individual account.
One time use, no more sharing. :-)

Does anyone know of any locations in Northern California that a McDonald's has a Redbox kiosk? I rent frequently and saw the "SMR8DVD" free code and haven't been able to find a kiosk in my area at a McDonald's location. Let me know ASAP before the code dies. Thanks!

I'm glad to be a proud supporter of Redbox and it's convenience to us movie citizens. I hope these studios finally get there financials straight and keep Redbox as a partner.
