Someone posted in Lancaster PA it's $2 first night only then $1 after that. Someone posted in Albuquerque, NM it is $1.50 all nights. Sorry, after seeing the title of your post I just couldn't resist. I've noticed people don't seem to use the Community section all that much. They just do a drive-by (off topic) post in the more popular blog section of the site.</p> <p>Anyway, I don't think they're doing that where I live yet (haven't been to a Redbox for a couple of weeks, though) and hope they don't. If it's only for new releases for a certain length of time (2 weeks, 30 days, etc.) then I don't really mind, but I do think they should acknowledge it and explain what their intentions are on their website. I expect my rental activity will drop about 90 percent. I wonder if they did the same thing in areas like Daytona Beach Florida where they go head to head with Blockbuster Express? I think Redbox just shot itself in the foot. I also don't like the fact that as of 10-29-2009 their website banner still advertises $1 per night. </p>
