			<description>&#60;p&#62;I used my last machine specific code at a different location and it worked fine. I think what they are doing is using the last machine you rented from as the location in the email. I got one listing Walgreens and tried it at a Jewel. Worked!

I guess they'd have trouble here with so many Redbox machines already here. What's funny is this is a town with no Redboxes at McDonald's. That's how I first found them when I was living in Houston.

code, good for use at that machine only, no sharing.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;For the record, it's tied to a Walgreens location within&#60;br /&#62;
five miles of my house that gets a lot of traffic,&#60;br /&#62;
that I use for returns but not rentals ( as it often&#60;br /&#62;
doesn't have much stocked).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Could Redbox be trying to drive traffic to specific&#60;br /&#62;
locations to improve numbers on certain kiosk boxes?&#60;/p&#62;

			<description>&#60;p&#62;Recently rented 4 movies at Walgreens Redbox (thanks to the March Monday code), but when I tried to return them the next evening at the nearest Redbox (WalMart), the machine had an error message on the screen and the DVD &#34;slot&#34; was flashing red!  Came home and called Redbox -- got right through -- and explained the situation asking for a return of that nights fees.  The very nice lady (definite Canadian accent) on the phone first claimed she couldn't issue the refunds, but when pressed she sent me 5 free promo codes.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The next day, I was out and decided to stop at another Walgreens to return the movies.  Here I found an older gentleman who was &#34;loading&#34; movies and indicated he would be a while -- but he then kindly offered to take the movies and return them for me after he was done.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;This morning I still hadn't received any &#34;return&#34; notices via e-mail, so I once again called Reedbox.  This time, the man I spoke with (he said he was in Chicago) was most helpful and immediately sent out the refunds -- $1 per card.  He also checked and confirmed that the 4 movies had been returned yesterday as promised.  He noted that the &#34;technicians&#34; have some way to return DVDs that don't generate e-mails.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So be persistent in calling, keep track of what you have, where you tried to return them, times, etc.  Entering your e-mail address for each card you use is only needed once, and you'll get a confirmation receipt of your rental and the subsequent return.  And yeah, he said to keep and use the codes that had been sent to me the day before!

			<description>&#60;p&#62;I appreciate the thought in sharing this information, but this is not new to Inside Redbox.  We always post new releases well ahead of the redbox email, and anyone can access and rent Redbox movies at 12:00am on release day by accessing our movie list, or even that on redbox.com.  &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;We track all new ids on a daily basis and add them to our system.  We don't necessarily share them too early, though, because as you mentioned there really is no point since DVDs aren't stocked in the kiosks until a few days before release, and even if they are there just knowing the ids does not allow you to rent them.

&#60;p&#62;I found out that my email list provider (AWeber) had some emails (and only email addresses - no names) compromised late last year.  This is what caused some of the spam issues, as others have reported the same thing.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The problem was remedied within a few days, so it does not affect any new subscribers to the newsletter after the first of the year, nor does it affect those who create accounts here on Inside Redbox.&#60;/p&#62;

The website freaks out sometimes during online reservation.&#60;br /&#62;
I simply called redbox, told them the error i got,&#60;br /&#62;
and they gave me a free code to use on my next rental,&#60;br /&#62;
once the second copy was returned.&#60;br /&#62;
easy fix, and the code was good up to 30 days.
