“Change” has been a popular word lately – with the presidential election, housing crisis, markets collapsing, and more…
It is time to make some changes here at Inside Redbox, as well. Hopefully these changes will all be for the better, though, as we attempt to improve the site for everyone.
So what is “Part 1” of this change?
1. REDBOX CODES SYSTEM
The first changes you will see will come on the Redbox Codes page. We are updating the page to make it (hopefully) easier to find the codes you are looking for, and to make it easier to keep track of codes you have used.
We hope to complete these changes within a week, or by November 7. In the meantime, certain features may be unavailable (like the “Codes by State” pages), but don’t panic. We will get things up and running as quickly as possible.

With all of these features we are adding comes a cost to us to make it happen. As you have seen, we put advertisements on the site to help pay for the costs of running it. We need to do this because we don’t sell anything and will NEVER charge you for access to a community you helped build…
At this time, there are a few more ads than I would like to see. This has happened because the rising popularity of the site adds to the costs and time required to run it. So, before it gets out of hand, I am making a change, and would like your thoughts on it.
The idea is simple: Become a member, see fewer ads and more promo codes.
Since many of you are already members to fully use the code tracking system, this won’t make much of a difference for you. Membership will – of course – remain free. The only thing that will change is that you will be asked to look at an offer (likely monthly) in order to see the most up-to-date list of codes.
Non-members will still be able to access the site, of course, but they won’t be able to see the codes that have been added/updated in the last 48 hours.

I anticipate that this simple change will simplify the management of the site, pay for the costs of running it, and have some other great side-effects as well (like quicker access to codes and less spam). I would like to see the upcoming releases earlier than the day before. I use Netflix and would order the ones Redbox does not carry for a Tuesday delivery.

My brother told me about redbox a while ago and its an awesome company. I like the cheap rentals and easiness of renting/returning. Personally I would prefer Wednesday rentals over Mondays, theres just too much going on in the beginning of the week for me. Hopefully with the Holidays things will slow down.
