They would list every movie in my queue as “available now” including spots 1-5 on my queue and send me everything BUT the top spots and then claim to “loose” my movies in the mail. Doesn’t matter if I returned it via mail or hand delivered to a BB clerk. I went to Netflix and haven’t looked back. Granted they have their problems and they aren’t perfect but I wouldn’t be such a loyal customer if I didn’t like their service.

The reason I use Redbox is because sometimes the more popular movies at Netflix that I have on my list have a short or long wait so if I’m really, really wanting to see it I go to Redbox. I figure I rent about 3-5 movies a month from Redbox.

I don’t care how low BB drops their prices, I refuse to back there. They are overpriced, their staff is rude and their late fees are not worth it. Like many other people, they sent me to collections because I didn‘t return 2 movies when I know for a fact I did. Besides do they need to charge 7 bucks for 3 bags of microwave popcorn on top of charging 4 bucks for a one night new release rental?

With that said, a vast majority of the movies I rent are either too old or too obscure for Redbox – but when that’s the case, I just go to my local library, which has an utterly fantastic collection of thousands of DVDs (from the most recent to the extremely obscure.)

So yeah, my trips to Blockbuster are few and very far between – and I don’t think this is going to change that.
