RedBox-LogoA combination of factors are going to contribute to a strong back half of this year for Redbox, according to one industry analyst. B. Riley & Co. analyst Eric Wold, who frequently roots for Redbox, says that the company will have several things going for it the final six months of 2013.

Wold cites strong box office performance by many films in the spring and summer, which should translate into big rental dollars this fall and winter at Redbox. Wold also reminds investors that Redbox’s 2012 second half results were likely down due to the London Olympics, which won’t be a factor this year.

Says Wold:

“When combined with additional capacity in the kiosks, new [customer relationship management] software and marketing support from Redbox Instant, we continue to believe the second-half visitation and rental trends are gearing up to at least meet guidance (which would actually exceed expectations),”

Is Redbox going to have a banner second half of 2013? Or is Wold just being his optimistic self?

I don’t use the Box much any more. I get 98% of what I need from Netflix in the Mail. Are the Online deal. I did use RedBox Two times in the last week.
But that was the first time in about six months. And one of the Disc did not work right. They did give me two free DVD in place of it…
I do use the box now and then…
    Have a good one all.
