If you own an Amazon Echo or other device enabled with the company’s Alexa intelligent personal assistant, your Redbox rental activities just got a little easier. Redbox and Amazon recently launched the Redbox skill for Amazon Alexa, which enables users to discover what’s new at their local Redbox with simple queries.

A few examples of what users can ask Alexa include:

  • “What new movies are at Redbox?”
  • “What video games does Redbox have?”
  • “Where are the Redbox kiosks near me?”
  • “What is coming soon to Redbox?”

Ash Eldifrawi, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at Redbox, said the following about the new Alexa skill:

“Redbox is always looking for new opportunities to enhance our customer’s experiences . . . We continue to connect the off-and on-line retail experience for our customers – giving them the option to reserve, browse and find locations online or via their phones. Now they can ask Alexa what’s new and coming soon at Redbox.”
