Aereo, the video startup that the networks love to hate, isn’t going down without a fight. The U.S. 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the service does not violate copyright law.

Aereo users rent their own tiny antenna from the company’s data centers, which allows customers to view live TV online, on their mobile devices, or through set-top boxes.
Fox, one of the networks set on destroying Aereo, isn’t through just yet and may escalate its case to the highest court in the land. Said Fox in a statement:
“The Second Circuit’s denial of our request for an ‘en banc’ hearing, while disappointing, was not unexpected . . . We will now review our options and determine the appropriate course of action, which include seeking a hearing in the U.S. Supreme Court and proceeding to a full trial on the merits of the case.

Can Aereo stand up to the full might of Hollywood’s wrath, or will it go the way of Zediva and other services that have tried to circumvent the system?
